amazing work loved this game

Pretty ambitious project for the Gameboy!

(+1)

Loved this short, creepy mystery! Some of the language early on hints at the general outcome, but I was NOT prepared for that ending!

awesome work! :)

(+1)

Loved it! Beautiful visuals!

(+1)

Beat it. This was really neat. Good art style and atmosphere!

Glad to hear that you liked it!

(+1)

This is an amazing game! really captures the way the gameboy looked nicee!

(+2)

A really cool thing about it is you can actually play the rom on a Gameboy! I think working within the real technical limitations of the system helps it to look more authentic.

(+1)

Ah! Very Interesting! Thanks For Giving Me That Fact.

(+1)(-1)

I absolutly love it

Thanks so much! :)

(+1)

Damn! what a story!

Thanks for playing! :D

Wow, I really liked this! Some super effective horror and really creepy artwork. Great work!

Thank you! I really appreciate it.

Great little game! Thanks for developing it!

Please make a mobile version for Android lol I'd love to play this in my spare time which i don't really have much of

You can actually load up this site and play the web version on your phone! It adds emulator buttons on mobile.

I didn't think it'll turn out to be that horrific but damn, it did.

I'm annoyed that there's no pacifist ending.

I just couldn't think of a way to make that narratively satisfying

(+1)

is that a vw rabbit / mk1 gol

(+1)

It's loosely based on one, yeah! :)

10/10

I love Game Boy style horror games. This was an amazing experience. Keep up the great work!

Thanks for playing! I enjoyed your video too.

Ngl i spent way too much time just waiting for the opossums to respawn so i could hunt them again..... oddly fun to shoot at those things jumping at you

Would love if you were to add the ability to either peacefuly leave or you and that tall dude purge the town of opossums, would add to the already great game.

Then again maybe I just enjoyed shooting opossums too much

This game has been on my to-play list for a long time and I finally got around to it.  This game is a genuine banger and I honestly wish the creator would revisit and prolong the game - I found the story and the art work to perfect for the created atmosphere and it gave me a lot of Waco and Far Cry 5 cult vibes and I was invested in it from the get go. Would love to see more of this!

well done, I really enjoyed the game and the ending is rlly open to interpretation which is very nice

Thank you!

A fun retro Game Boy style  short horror adventure with a nice creepy vibe definitely recommend playing.

im still confused on what happened in the end but the music is so good and everything just goes so well. i love opposums.

wow this is sooooo good!!! really incredibly well done, love it!

As someone who grew up in the rural Deep South, this game resonated with me at a profound level. I love the pixel art, and I love the character portraits, and I love the ending.

nice game with story! :)) the fact that it incorporates a shoot mechanism makes it a bit more engaging! :)

(+1)

Cool short horror story with amazing pixel art, really love the character portraits especially. I'd love to see something like this expanded on, but for what it is it's very cool. I talk a little more in-depth on it in this video

Beautiful ā™„ļø

I'm not done playing it but I'm loving this so far. The art, the characters, the plot, and the music are really cool. They go really well together and overall it's a really well made game. I can't wait to finish playing!

It's pretty short so you can probably finish it in a single play session. Really glad you like it!

(+1)

Very interesting and very good game

(+1)

I finished this, thanks for making it!  I would be interested to play more if you ever expanded the story.

(+1)

Very short and felt shorter because it was very good! I loved the use of splash pages especially.

(+1)

Thnx...I needed this...like a nice Creepshow/TZ episode.šŸ¾

(+1)

Great game!

Thank you!

Heh this was silly.

Hello,

With the newly released Analogue Pocket, and the newest update for GB Studios, are you planning to publish the .pocket version of this game? Iā€™d love to be able to play this on my Pocket, so I hope so!

(+1)(-1)

I would think for $200 the pocket could run a gb rom? Why does it need a special format?

(+2)

Piracy

(1 edit)

The creators of the pocket want to make that token effort of not being associated with piracy so have taken some minimal steps to make sure that you cannot load roms. But they have also partnered with GB Studio to make a workaround with games created with GB Studio. So here we are.

Unfortunately since this is just a small project I have no plans to port it to the pocket format. If you want to play it on a pocket I think you'll have to get an EZ Flash JR but it sounds like you'd need that anyways.

Is porting required? GBStudio devs said you just need to export for pocket instead of for gb

(+2)

What you say is true if you make a game with GB Studio 3. It just came out within the last week though. All of the GB Studio games that have been created so far were on version 1 or 2 so the porting would be migrating to the new version which is a pretty big task.
